Awesome Show, Great Job
Hey everybody, I thought I'd make another blog post expressing some thoughts about what we should all be doing and where we should be taking this Fan Wiki.
So recently, it's just been me on occasion and Withersoul in the past month all of a sudden adding a lot of stuff, which is all good, but it's left me wondering where everybody else has gone. Not that any of us are married to this site, but there was some good stuff that came out of the guys who used to come here. Oh well.
I know interest will pique if Krunkidile ever makes another BNHSPS, but that might not happen in forever, and in the meantime, I think it's good to keep adding stuff. Even if it's little by little, eventually it can grow into a whole universe of its own. A great example…
Current Projects
Since we've largely done well hitherto as far as efficient navigation goes, ere's the priority list when it comes to what my current goals are for the pages of this wiki:
- Adding content.
- Adding quality content.
- Adding well-organized, quality content.
- Organizing preexisting content.
And there are good rules of thumb to follow when creating content. The foremost is, is it funny (bonus points for making fun of anime, fandoms, or specific shows)? Then, is it consistent with everything else that's been done thus far (everything is canon, but how rude is it to steamroll the hard work or precious ideas of the dozens of people who came before you)? Then, is it well-rounded enough to stand on its own (does it feel like it deserves to exist as a paragraph/secti…

Continuity Cleanup
Hello denizens of the multiverse! Your glorious lord and master here, ready to begin spring cleaning! In the fal!

It's time for a Continuity Cleanup, ladies. Are you ready? Because if you aren't, then to bad! Now will begin the cleansing of inconsistent information, or at the very least the moving of information onto relevant pages. Basiclly, if you see something of this sort, please fix it. Forum posts for discussions on which pages are psuedo canon are suggested, and talk pages are also useful for this purpose.
Let's make this house a slightly less disgusting corner of heretical diseases! Go now, janitors of the future. Your minimium wage awaits!
Future Projects for the wiki
One of the projects I set about working on recently was the (re)organization of categories. Some of them I turned into subcategories (Minor Villains-->Villains, for example), and some of them. Hopefully, that should make site navigation easier, but there's still more to improve.
I plan on, at some point, to start generating pages specifically for the big Story Arcs ("Sagas" I think as we're calling them). I think we have a lot of material to start work on outlining the BNHSPS show on the wiki, and I also think making the Sagas first and working our way top-to-bottom to the most important episodes is easier than creating the show an episode at a time -- that's, like, the job of the writers for an actual show. Hello, all denizens of the underworld and beyond. After a long and painful hiatus, I have returned to continue making stupid jokes on the internet!
And, as was prophsized by Space Jeseus in years long past, my return has heralded the return of various additions to the wiki. I would, personally, like to keep the proverbial ball rolling, and continue with this trend. And you should too, if you want to live. Big Brother is watching.
But, in all sincerity, I would like to thank everyone who has come back to this little corner of the internet. I am truly honored that people have taken the time to attempt to DO something with this. Damn, I've been away too long. I got caught up in school when it rolled around, but now I'm back! At least, I'd like to be back. As much as one can be on a joke website, anyway.
I'll be trying to put more time into editing articles. I'm happy to see Withersoul, SmashTheOni, our valiant leader The90908, and company have been holding down the fort pretty damn well. See you guys around.
Edits and things you should totes do
So I've been on the wiki for a lil' while, and it's great to see so many fans editing this thang! However, when editing, Ihighly recommend using the "Add summary of your edit" tab, as it makes it easier on your fellow fans and the admins to know what you did to a certain page. Yes, it may be a very small grammar edit, but it makes it easier on everybody who is on the wiki to know whether or not a page was affected heavily or not. When (some) people get the "*Page* has been edited." Notification, they may not be in a position ti go through and compare all the changes, so using the summary button makes it easier for people that are on the go to know what's going on in their favorite pages.
